Paragraph:

The first motor car arrived in New zealand. Willam decided to take the mayor out on a ride but they crashed and that was the first new zealand crash. Nicholas oates got his first traffic ticket because he was speeding and because he scared some horses.

Plus Minus

Carry heavy loads

Pollutes air

Faster than walking

Could break down

More comfortable than horses

Could have an accident

Faster that a bike

Expensive to buy

“Cars made it even easier to move around and keep in contact , but they were very expensive . Only wealthy people can afford it”.

Vehicles make it really easy for people to get around like go for a 2 hour drive. But they can be very pricey. People that have good jobs and are wealthy can afford to buy one.

I would not but a motor car because you could get into a car crash and some people cant afford a car.

Samoa

Samoa,

Samoan traditional dances are really important. There are heaps of traditional samoan dances. LIke a sasa, siva afi, siva tau and taulaga and more.  Traditional samoan dances have poetry of people.People come from places to custom the dances.

The dances actually tell a story of cultural values and the dancers perform at events.

When you are dancing you have to be graceful and exuberant and peaceful in the oldest culture in polynesians.

The female tattoo is called a malu. When you are 21 you get  a malu. When you get a malu you finally become a woman. You have to be respectful, trustful. The pe’a and malu is viewed with cultural pride and identity as well as a hallmark of manhood and womanhood. The pe’a is designed for men that spans from waist to knee. Each tattoo tells its own story and being able to say what it represents. It basically shows your admiration and appreciation for polynesian art culture. When you're getting a malu it will cover up 65% of your legs. It basically covers your whole thighs until it reaches from the back to the front of your knee. It takes upto 3 months to finish your tattoos.

Samoan foods are DELICIOUS. They have all kinds of foods. My favourite samoan foods are povi masima(Corn Beef), sapasui(chop suey) mamoe with rice(lamb).  Samoan food is sometimes heavily spiced but normally it is characterized by the use of coconut milk and cream.  All islanders love their food, especially samoan. Samoa’s foods are the same as Tongan food, but they name it a different way.
