Duffy Theater

Yesterday we had a Duffy theatre group come to Hornby Primary School, first they introduced us to what character they were going to be in the theatre. After  they told us what they were going to be we sang the Duffy song with sign language. Some of us didn't know the actions but we could still learn the song. Then they started the theatre and it started off funny. Then it turned really weird. Some of the year 1s were laughing and screaming out so loud trying to give them a clue. When they were screaming my ears started to hurt because they were screaming really loudly. When they finished we had a few questions to ask them, and we got to take a big photo with all of the kids.

Mufti day

Last week Hornby Primary School wore mufti clothes. During the day we went to the high school because we did a big human word saying aroha, our school was the big o . The high school wore there normal school uniform but we wore mufti clothes. Our whole school fitted in the letter o because it was humongous and there was also a drone flying up in the sky taking a video of us in a human word. After the 2 minutes of Silence we went back to school. and carried on with the afternoon.

Our awesome art

Yesterday we did a fantastic art that turned out very good. For our art we had to get into to groups of 5 or 4 . After we got into our groups Miss Scott told us what our art was and we all thought it was random waves but then soon we looked at it properly it was faces. It looked really cool. When we did the colours it looked so awesome. Later on Miss Scott stapled our art on the art wall.

Biathlon

Yesterday we had a biathlon , It was a really hot weather when we were doing the biathlon. First we had lunch a bit early because we had the biathlon. After we ate our lunch we lined up to get our bikes and scooters ready. We had to put them in year levels. One side was the Seniors and the other side was the Juniors. Some people had to call out the year levels for the  juniors. A lot of family members came too .people who had a R on there hand means they are running.   The year sixes had to go first then the juniors . After we had to run 2 laps around our big field . When we finished we wanted to go into the pool but we weren't allowed .I had really fun doing the biathlon .

Chromebook safety

Today room 7 for cyber smart we are learning about Chromebook safety. There are a lot of Chromebook safety tips. We all had to do a poster about Chromebook safety
