Olly's New Bike

Talofa welcome back to my blog. Today i am going to be telling you about this book called Olly's new bike. 

The book is about this boy called olly he wanted a bike from the shop. His mum surprised him with a bike he didn't like it,his mum got it from the garage sale. He wanted the new bike from the bike shop but he didn't get it. He kicked the bike against the fence and broke the pedals. His neighbor came and asked him what happend, hes aid what happend and he offered to help him fix the bike. He asked if he can help his son with his english because they just moved to town and he said yes. The next day he went over to there neighbors house and he also brought some food so they can eat. Olly tried a new food that his neighbor asked him to eat.They had fun and also his friend learnt english.  We had to make a DLO and a poster with some questions.

Philippines Indepdence Day

Magandang Umaga, This week we are learning about the philippines independence day.

Philippines independence day is a annual national holiday in the philippines observered on the june the 12th.The fun thing is the activites.There is heaps of activites to do, like watch a family movie, have a party and cultural dances, Karaoke.When you finished having fun the fun thing is FOOD. Heaps of people bring delicous foods.The delicous foods are Chicken adobo, Lumpia and balut, Beef Tapa,Kare-Kare and Lechon.Philippines independece day looks like it is really fun. Kare-Kare is a beef stew with gravy and vegetables.Lumpia is basically like spring rolls.Chicken adobo is chicken with gravy but sometimes it is fried.

The Philippines flag means something. The white triangle means Liberty, Equality and Fraternity.The blue stripe means Peace, Truth and Justice and the red stripe means valor and patriotism. If you switch the blue and red stripes it would mean something else, like if the red stripe went on top it means the Philippines war flag. Then if you put the blue stripe on top it would mean the normal Philippines flag.

Hurumanu 2 Reading tasks

Talofa welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to be telling you questions about the book I am reading.

Today we are finishing our Hurumanu  Reading tasks.We had to read the book and anwer the questions. The were easy but when we read the other books it will probably be hard. Im in the yellow group. The book is about these children went to the beach to see if it was okay because of the storm that they had ast night.

Samoan Language Week

Talofa welcome back to my blog. Today I am going to be telling you facts about samoa.

This week is samoan language week. Miss Taylor said that we had to draw a samona picture like a flower and sea animals and more.I did a sea turtle.Today we watched videos about samoan dances and games and more.Today I am going to be talking about samoan arts and tattoos.Every samona has a tattoos. Women that are 21 they have to get a malu. A malu is a women tattoo that every women gets. Like if you are 20 you would have to get a malu because it means that you are finally becoming a women.

In samoa they don't use tattoo gun they use a stick that they made and ink. Some tattoo places do have a tattoo gun but if you were going to do a malu you would have to use a hard stick and ink. Every women has to say a prayer and drink a special drink after they finish there tattoo and also do a dance. In some tattoos they have stories and symbols.


The difference between new zealand and samoa is that samoa they have to stay in the heat and some houses don't have fans. New Zealand does plant they foods and so do samoa.Samoas electricity, they don't really have much electricity. They use flashlights and lamps to use for when it is dark.
